The Calrec Zeta was the third digital console to emerge from Calrec's internationally successful Alpha and Sigma digital development programme and established a family of consoles meeting the needs of a wide variety of budgets and applications.

Channels / Groups
- Up to 108 channel processing paths (42 stereo or mono plus 24 mono channels), or:
- Up to 112 channel processing paths (56 stereo)
- 8 x stereo or mono audio groups, or 4 x stereo and 4 x mono audio groups
- All channels have 4-band EQ / Filters, Compressors/Limiter and Expander/Gate
- All groups have Compressor/Limiter
- Pre-configured inserts are assignable to any channel or group
- Inserts can be pre or post fader
- All channels and groups can have a direct output
- Every direct output can be a mix-minus feed
- Direct outputs can be pre EQ, pre fader or post fader
- Tracks can be fed from pre EQ, pre fader, post fader or direct output
- Automatic cross fading facility, with user-definable fade out and in times
- Additional VCA style grouping system
- Every channel can route to every bus, at the same time, without restrictions

- 2 main stereo or 2 main 5.1 surround outputs with Compressors/Limiter
- 8 auxiliary outputs, which can be 8 mono or 4 stereo
